The items in each replacement pack have been carefully selected based on the following criteria:
- Smaller items that are more likely to get lost in use.
- Other elements that may be lost during construction, such as the EV3 steel ball.
- Elements that have a key functionality during construction that will prevent the dismantling of a model already built and used.
- Elements that can be broken during handling, such as rubber parts/joints.
