The MatataStudio AI Vision Kit is an expansion module for the VinciBot robot that adds advanced artificial intelligence capabilities. It is equipped with a camera that can be rotated through ±90°, a 1.5-inch colour LCD screen with a resolution of 240 x 240 pixels, and two fill lights. It incorporates six pre-trained AI functions: colour block detection, coloured line tracking, AprilTag detection, cat face detection, human face detection and handwritten digit recognition from 0 to 9. It also allows users to create and train their own AI models for image, voice or ToF recognition via the online platform vinci.matatastudio.com. Programming is carried out using a graphical block-based interface. Sixteen practical examples are available in the platform’s curriculum and tutorials. Compatible with standard building blocks.
VinciBot AI module, ±90° camera, 1.5-inch LCD screen, 6 pre-trained AI functions and 16 practical scenarios with graphical programming and custom model training.

In class, pupils begin by testing the pre-trained functions: they point the module at a coloured line and watch as the VinciBot automatically follows it. They then move on to creating their own recognition model by collecting their data via the graphical user interface, training it on the platform and deploying the result to the module in just a few clicks. Each of the 16 practical scenarios enables them to link an AI concept to a specific, observable real-world example.
