The MatataStudio Coding Set Pro is the enhanced version of the Coding Set, designed for children aged 4 to 9 and for nursery to Year 3. It adds a control tower to the MatataBot robot, equipped with an image recognition camera and a control panel on which children can arrange 99 physical coding blocks to build their programmes.
The control tower reads the blocks and transmits the instructions to the MatataBot via coding algorithms. With no screen or text, the blocks feature intuitive graphic symbols that can be used from the age of 4 without prior literacy skills. The kit includes ‘Artist’ and ‘Musician’ warm-up cards, three booklets of progressive family challenges, a double-sided game card, obstacles and flags. The MatataBot and the control tower are rechargeable.
MatataStudio Coding Set Pro with camera-equipped control tower, 99 physical coding blocks, Artist and Musician cards, and 3 challenge booklets – no screen or text required, suitable for children aged 4 and over.
The child chooses a game card, sets up the course with obstacles and flags, then arranges their coding blocks on the control tower’s tray in the order of their programme. The tower reads the blocks using its camera and transmits the instructions to the MatataBot, which follows the route. If the robot fails to reach the target, the child adjusts the blocks and tries again. The Artist and Musician cards allow projects to be extended to include geometric drawing and music creation using the same blocks.
