The MatataStudio 3-in-1 Smart Sports Kit is an extension for the VinciBot robot that applies the learning of robotics, programming, TinyML and IoT to three sporting contexts: football, athletics and basketball. The kit provides the same components as the Nous AI Set, namely a Nous Hub with display, two servos, a camera, mechanical parts, a double-sided board, AprilTags, traffic signs, picture cards, card holders, a USB-C cable and a user guide, brought together here for projects organised around interactive sports scenarios.

What the Smart Sports Kit offers for exploring robotics and AI through sport

On the football pitch, the VinciBot detects the ball via the camera and adjusts its trajectory using the servos. On the athletics track, it follows the lines on the double-sided map and reacts to AprilTags to trigger actions at specific points along the course. In basketball, it programmes movement and shooting sequences by combining computer vision with mechanisms assembled using the included parts.
