Smarteo Worlds Fairy World is an educational kit that teaches children aged 9 and over how to program through an adventure in a magical world. The child plays the hero of an imaginary story filled with fantastical creatures and landscapes, centred around the King and Queen’s grand medieval games. They progress by programming a micro:bit via MakeCode, using hands-on electronic components, craft activities, play accessories and 3D prints to bring each stage of the story to life. The kit has been developed by Smarteo, a French start-up specialising in digital education through play.
micro:bit and MakeCode programming kit for ages 9 and up, featuring a magical and imaginary world, electronic components, hands-on activities and game accessories included. 22.5 x 16 x 7 cm.

At home or in a workshop, the child opens the box and embarks on the adventure. Each challenge in the story requires them to programme the micro:bit to progress: making a character react, triggering an event, or overcoming a trial. Hands-on activities and 3D prints enhance the creations and deepen immersion in the medieval fantasy world. Learning to code is achieved through storytelling rather than abstract exercises.
