Smarteo Worlds Smart City is an educational kit that teaches children aged 9 and over how to program through practical tasks set in a smart city. Children become experts tasked with improving the functioning of an entire city: managing transport, energy, the environment and connected urban infrastructure. They programme a micro:bit using MakeCode to solve each problem, with hands-on electronic components, practical activities, play accessories and 3D prints. The kit has been developed by Smarteo, a French start-up specialising in digital education through play.
micro:bit and MakeCode programming kit for ages 9 and up, smart city and IoT themes, sensors, ecology and practical urban applications. 22.5 x 16 x 7 cm.

At home or in a workshop, the child is given a mission: to improve an aspect of the city. They programme the micro:bit to simulate a smart traffic light, an environmental alert or an automatic lighting system. The physical components bring each concept to life, and the child understands how connected objects work by building them themselves.
