Kitronik LAB:bit for BBC Micro:bit

The card is equipped with an incredible array of features and gadgets that make it easy to provide enjoyable and informative lessons:

  • A motor
  • An ultrasonic distance sensor
  • Two large touch-sensitive buttons
  • User assignable (with indicator lights)
  • A microphone
  • One speaker (with volume control)
  • Seven programmable ZIP lights (arched)
  • One user assignable potentiometer control
  • Two sets of indicator lights
  • One set of dice-shaped LEDs (which can also be used to display numbers).

A pre-mounted acrylic protective cover, clip-on feet for adding an additional motor, 2 x clip-on feet for attaching additional buttons/switches, colour-changing power indication LEDs, a cut-out for easy access to the reset button and pre-mounted non-slip rubber feet complete the board's features.

  • LAB:bit is an all-in-one educational platform designed for teaching computer science in KS2 classes (7-10 years old).
  • It is packed with gadgets such as LEDs, switches, sensors and other programmable functions.
  • It has an edge connection into which the micro:bit can be inserted without the need for any tools.
  • The LAB:bit comes with a pre-installed protective acrylic cover.
  • There are also clip-on legs for adding an extra motor, 2 x clip-on legs for attaching more buttons/switches, colour-changing power indication LEDs, and a cut-out for quick access to the reset button.
  • Non-slip rubber feet are also pre-installed to keep the LAB:bit firmly on the desk.
