The Turtle 2WD DIY Robotics building kit is an entry-level programmable robot kit based on Arduino.
In a few simple steps of hardware assembly and software setup, you will learn everything about Arduino, robotics, sensors, bluetooth communication - as well as obstacle avoidance and remote control. You can also go further with your own code to take advantage of the Romeo ultrasonic sensor (a Bluetooth 4.0 (BLE) Arduino microcontroller), IR distance sensors and LEDs.
The Turtle 2WD mobile robot is a small, low-cost mobile platform compatible with standard Arduino microcontrollers. It contains
- Two drive motors
- Wheels (and a rear ball)
- A chassis
- All assembly material.
It is widely used as a user-developed control chasis for Arduino platforms and other control boards.
The Turtle 2WD has multiple features such as :
- Two differential drives
- A turning radius close to zero
- A high strength aluminum alloy body
- Engines
- A flexible rubber wheel, which makes it suitable for robot competitions on indoor flat road and flat platform.
The top layer includes a standard servo socket and the three optional sensor holders. This three-sensor holder fits DFRobot's adjustable IR range sensor. The servo can be used for a simple rotation platform, a two-degree-of-freedom camera support or even a robotic arm.
Thanks to Romeo BLE, the kit can be controlled by APP (IOS). Just download an APP (GoBLE) to enjoy control from your IOS device.
